As the church bell rings,

The lesson begins,

And the Team chat is filled,

With devilish things.


Creeping in the comments,

Living in the moment,

Sneaking in your emails,

And hiding in your homework.


Kodi keeps a watchful eye,

As imps and pixies scuttle by,

Waiting for the scarier things,

He nips and bites and makes them cry.


Learners work on reading and writing,

Unaware of supernatural fighting,

The good, the bad, the walking dead,

The things brought back by sudden lightning.


Nanook guards the office halls,

Listening for those distant calls,

Of learners who forgot their assignments,

He growls, hisses, bites, and mauls.


There she is the teaching witch,

Standing with her pumpkin dish,

A look of total calm and kindness,

She’ll help you learn, but she may switch…
