Kids Corner: Prepare your kids for the 11+ Grammar School exam.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

You know if you have a tiny genius walking around in your house. If your smart kid is still at junior school, you should think about helping your little genius prepare for the 11+ exam. The 11+ exam is not just for native English students. Clever non-native children often do well on the 11+ test with good preparation!

·         What’s the 11+? – It is the test that Grammar Schools use to see if your child is intelligent enough to go to that school. It includes English language, English verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, and maths.

·         What is a Grammar School? – Grammar schools are schools for children of above average intelligence and academic ability. The same subjects are taught to your child, but at a higher level and in more detail. Grammar school is more demanding, but also much more rewarding for intelligent children. A Grammar school is a good way to prepare for an elite (high level) university in the future.

I prepare children for their 11+ exams in private (only one student) online lessons. I can prepare your child for the English language, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning sections of the exam. I will focus on the techniques and strategies your child needs to know to get a great result. I will increase their vocabulary, help them to use logic to make educated guesses when not sure, improve punctuation and spelling, and much more. With a history in Post Graduate level psychology, I am also an excellent teacher for non-verbal reasoning! Please be aware when it comes to the maths section, I can help your child prepare but I am NOT AN EXPERT!

Not sure if you want me to help your child prepare for the 11+? No problem! Book a free private 1-hour trial lesson, where we can meet and get to know each other. You can book a free trial by emailing me at lana@wrightenglish.com. You can also find out more about the lessons I teach at www.wrightenglish.com
