Did you jump out of bed this morning and get straight into the action of the day? I slowly flopped out of bed at midday. It was a late night.

So, let’s have a look at some synonyms for “jump”:

·         Hop (small jump up) – The rabbit hopped over the fence.

·         Spring (a higher happy jump) – The lambs are springing around in the fields.

·         Skip (a happy short jump forward) – Lisa was skipping over to her best friend.

·         Leap (a large jump forward) – Callum leaped over the puddle.

·         Bounce (a small happy jump up) – Lucy is bouncing around in the living room listening to music.

·         Caper (old fashioned - a happy jump up) - William capered around with the children in the meadow.

·         Vault (to jump over something while running) – She ran from the loud sound, and vaulted over the fence to get away.

Just so you know if I hear a talking sheep I will vault over the wall and run as fast as my legs will take me.

When was the last time you jumped?
