Kids Corner: Practice English Geocaching

Do you want a fun way to enjoy the weather, get some adventure, and practice your English? What about Geocaching? Geocaching is an outdoor activity where you follow instructions to find hidden items! Read the instructions below to find out what “floof face” is all about.

You can download the official geocaching app from the google play app store or apple app store for free. Here you can find geocaches all over the world, including near where you live. All the instructions are in English.

·         Get in a team

·         Always tell an adult where you are going, and when you will be back

·         Download the Geocaching app

·         Locate a Geocache you and your friends want to find – Start with easy Geocaches!

·         Pack a mobile phone with lots of battery, some water, and a compass (or download GPS or compass app on your phone)

·         Follow the English instructions

·         Discuss the instructions and the adventure in English with your friends

·         Anyone who speaks another language and not English gets called “Floof face”

·         Find your Geocache

·         Sign the paper roll inside and/or leave something in the cache for the next group

·         Do a happy dance
