GCSE and A-Level Goblin: The Best Audiobook Version of Macbeth

“Jeremy I have so many questions about where that hoof came from, but they will all have to wait until you’ve very quickly run away and given that back. What do you mean, ‘Why?’ Because they will eat us, Jeremy, that’s why.

Hello everyone thanks for dragging yourself to my muddy forest hut and office. Today I’m gonna recommend a brilliant audiobook to help you revise Macbeth for GCSE English Literature, because I basically have to.

The Best Audiobook for Macbeth GCSE:

What is Good About Smart Pass Macbeth?

  • There are 2 versions of the play included - 1 fully acted out version, and a second fully acted version with teacher and student commentary.

  • It’s an audiobook - which means you can be walking around or cleaning while you listen. This is actually GOOD for concentration because walking helps us use the processing power of both sides of our brains.

  • The acting is great - Smart Pass got excellent actors to record this play. The acting is realistic and helps you to understand the story through their tones and intonations.

  • The teacher and student commentary is excellent - You will get enough historical context (a03), plot (a01), and analysis (ao2) from this commentary to need no more than this one resource!

  • You own it forever - Once you have this you can listen to it as many times as you like.

Where Can I Get Smart Pass Macbeth?

I recommend getting whatever you find that is cheaper, and if you need to use a car CD player (because like me you live in 2005), find someone with an old enough PC who can ‘burn’ a playable CD for you. It’s usually most cost-effective to use Apple books or subscribe to Audible if you regularly listen to audiobooks.

Summing Up

Audiobooks are a great way to revise, especially in the summer when you want to walk about in the sun. Smart Pass audiobooks are highly recommended resources for anyone who would like to improve their knowledge and understanding of Macbeth and Shakespeare himself. I highly recommend it.

... Also… Jeremy has been gone for a long time… should we be worried guys?”
