The English language has a huge vocabulary, but day to day phrasal verbs are the most common way of describing business activities. Get to grips with these phrasal verbs to improve your Business English communication:

Deal with = To manage, handle or solve a situation

Take over = To take a task or project from another leader

Look into = To investigate, or look for more information

Look through = To read or search through documents or items for something

Get ahead = to succeed and do well

Drop off = To deliver something to a location or person

Fill in = To give someone information they do not know, or to complete a form

Bring up = To raise a discussion or start a conversation about a specific topic

Break down = To stop working, or to describe something by reducing it to its smaller parts

Hold up = To delay something

Point out = to make something clear to others

Call off = to cancel something

Chip in = to add your opinion to a discussion, or to add your effort to a group task

Cut down = to reduce something
