Vocabulary Showcase: Synonyms for “make”

Are you the creative type? I definitely am. I love making things, that doesn’t mean they are always brilliant works of art, but they are fun to try. Let’s have a look together at some other words that mean “make”, and expand our creative vocabularies:

·         Create – can be used for anything a person makes themselves.

·         Fabricate – most often used to describe building something from parts.

·         Manufacture – usually used to describe a large scale of making things like a factory.

·         Produce – often used to describe companies making things.

·         Build – construct something from parts.

·         Form – usually used to describe making things with clay or other soft materials that can be shaped.

·         Fashion – old fashioned, and often describes making something from whatever you have around you.

·         Forge – making things with metals.
