Vocabulary Showcase: Cosy synonyns

It’s autumn, and fast approaching winter. Get your blankets out, put that kettle on, and snuggle up with me in front of the fire. Let’s have a look at some cosy synonyms in use:

Comfy (from comfortable) – I feel really comfy cuddled up on this sofa with my cat.

Snuggly – It’s such a snuggly feeling drinking a hot tea by the fire.

Snug – My new living room design is so snug with all the soft furnishings and thick curtains.

Homey – A big bowl of soup, some popcorn, and a film make this place feel really homey.

Sheltered – I slept like a baby sheltered by my warm home.

“Snug as a bug in a rug” – Alice tucked her little boy into bed as snug as a bug in a rug.

Get snuggly everyone. I’m way ahead of you, I spend pretty much all year wrapped in something soft and cuddly. I’m living my best snug bug life.
