Gateway to Grammar: Verb Families pt.6 - “ame”

It’s part six of Verb Families! Learning verb families is the easiest way to learn irregular verbs in the past tenses in English. The families are in groups based on how they sound.

To learn verb families say each verb in the infinitive form (present simple tense), the past simple form, and the past participle form (3rd form and present perfect).

The “ame” family is very small, it only has two members:

• Come (infinitive/present tense), came (past simple), come (past participle/3rd form)

• Become, became, become.

That’s it! It’s a simple bite sized Gateway to Grammar this week folks. If you don’t learn these in 7 days I know you are getting lazy!
